5. Loss of voice
People who suffer from throat issues will either notice a change in voice or will be unable to speak. Air passes through your windpipes when you speak.
It can be difficult to talk if the windpipes become infected, inflamed, and swollen. A common cold or simple throat irritation can make speaking difficult. Strep throat can make it difficult to speak. People with strep are more likely to experience this symptom.
You can try to reduce the amount of time you speak. Write down your needs or mime them until you feel better. Resting your voice will help you heal your throat faster if you have an infection like strep or a throat condition such as laryngitis.
