14 Reasons for Heel Spurs

  1. Common Causes

Occasionally, there is no identifiable cause for the development of heel spurs. Many individuals who have a normal gait and utilise a variety of footwear may still develop a heel spur over the course of their lifetime. This may be the result of lifestyle choices, poor posture, improper nutrition, or even a congenital condition.

In addition to the specific causes outlined above, individuals who fall into two or more of the categories listed may develop a non-specific heel spur. If you experience heel pain when walking or running, consult a podiatrist to determine whether the pain is caused by a bone spur or something else.

Regularly inspecting your feet is another method for monitoring the development of heel spurs. In rare instances, individuals may develop bone spurs due to a buildup of calcium in their bloodstream as a result of illness, medication side effects, or an unrelated illness.
