14 Potential Hip Flexor Pain Causes

  1. hip flexor muscle injury

When the knee is flexed towards the upper body, the hip flexors are engaged. A hip flexor strain involves the straining or tearing of a hip muscle. This injury may affect one of the muscles that flex the hip. These strains are the result of slipping backwards while jogging.

A condition that can be caused by either repeated minor slips or one significant slip. Moreover, when the knee is repeatedly bent and straightened during activities such as dancing or martial arts, there is a high danger of hip flexor strain.

A hip flexor strain may result in muscle spasms, soreness, cramps, and upper leg discomfort. Hip flexor strain can be alleviated through regular hip flexor stretches and yoga. Other methods to alleviate this strain include applying an ice pack to the affected area, resting the muscle, taking a hot shower, or using over-the-counter pain relievers.
