- Ginger root
One of the best home remedies for alleviating nausea, diarrhea, and a generally upset stomach is readily available in most kitchen cabinets; it’s also a very popular type of cookie. Ginger is not only used for cooking; it can also be used to enhance tea mixtures (some of which are on this list) and herbal beverages.
Ginger’s compounds are among the quickest remedies for nausea; it simply works.
If you don’t have access to fresh ginger, you can substitute powdered ginger. Ginger in pill form or even as a liquid tincture is not at all used for cooking, but it makes an excellent addition to remedies for stomach distress or gastroenteritis.
Don’t use too much ginger or make the dish too strong: Using more will not be more effective and may irritate the intestines.
