6.Implementing Direct Heat
Depending on the type of muscle injury, it may be impractical or uncomfortable to get into a warm bath without risking further injury, and sometimes you may only have access to a shower.
There are other methods to treat a pulled hamstring, but heat is still one of the most effective treatments for sore and tense muscles.
When it is impractical to take a warm bath, heated pads are one method to apply direct heat to a pulled hamstring. If you do not have heating cushions, you can sometimes achieve the same result by wrapping an injury with heating gel.
The greatest results can be achieved by combining direct heat with a few of the other techniques described in this article.
