4.Vibrational Treatment
After certain surgical procedures, vibrational therapy devices are one of the recommended treatments: Small electrodes are strapped to the skin, and vibrations of varying intensities are transmitted into the muscle from there; this is uncomfortable but not excruciating.
After surgery, it is one of the methods for developing muscle strength in patients who are less mobile. (Yes, it is similar to the exercise equipment that “vibrates the fat off you”; however, it is significantly smaller.)
In addition to being useful for surgery, it can aid in the rehabilitation of muscle injuries such as a pulled hamstring. Applied in moderation and late enough in the healing process, vibrational therapy can hasten recovery from an injury.
If you do not have access to a machine at home, you can rent or purchase one from medical supply stores; alternatively, you can contact a physiotherapist or sports therapist for assistance in locating one.
