3.Encircling the Hamstring
Even though putting the injury directly into a brace is one of the best methods to treat it, many people won’t have the right type of brace in the correct size on hand when the injury occurs. No one anticipates an injury, and you don’t go to the mall in the morning thinking, “Oh, I should buy a brace because I’m going to pull my hamstring at four tonight” because it’s typically impossible to foresee what or when you’ll sustain an injury.
Wrapping the hamstring is the second-best alternative to wearing a brace. The heat from the bandages can help reduce potential edema, and the snug fit of the bandages can reduce the likelihood of further hamstring injury.
Ensure that you do not wrap your injury more tightly than necessary. If it does not fit properly, it is likely too snug.
