14.Occasionally Moderate Exercise
The most common cause of a pulled hamstring is exercise, and if you want the injury to recover properly, you should avoid all forms of exercise for at least the first few weeks or months.
However, once the injury has recovered – typically a few months later – it is time to resume strength training. As mentioned previously in this article, water therapy is one of the most effective approaches, but it is not the only one.
After a torn hamstring, begin exercise only when the injury has healed for several months, and when we say “moderate,” we mean “moderate.” Do not attempt to press yourself further or set new records. After healing a muscle that is currently quite fragile, all you’re attempting to do here is gain some additional strength.
