Heat is one of the most effective treatments for muscle injuries, especially a strained hamstring. However, this is not the only reason why a heated bath is beneficial for an injury.
In addition to the heat you’ll receive from a heated bath, immersing your injury directly in water relieves pressure on the muscles and tendons. This can help your injury heal and strengthen more quickly than if you hadn’t taken the same steps.
Water therapy requires a swimming pool, which is sometimes heated, and may necessitate that you locate the nearest local pool before beginning this treatment. However, it may be worthwhile to reduce strain and regain strength in an injured muscle or limb.
