13.Resting
When your ear is problematic, it can be difficult to fall asleep. Lack of sleep can exacerbate the problem, as your body requires sleep to recover and heal. If you have an earache, it is advised that you slumber in a more upright position.
When you have an earache, propping your head up with pillows or even resting in a recliner can be very helpful. By sleeping in an erect position, you can reduce the pressure buildup in your ear, which is likely the source of your pain and discomfort.
Even though it may be difficult to sleep seated up or in an upright position, you may find that as soon as you sit more upright, the pain in your ear subsides, making it much easier to get the much-needed rest.
