13.Ice
If you have pulled a muscle, inflammation of the muscle and surrounding tissues is probable. Inflammation can cause edema, which can result in discomfort. Icing is one of the simplest and quickest methods to reduce inflammation around a muscle. Never apply ice directly to the epidermis, as doing so can cause damage.
Place an ice compress on the affected area after wrapping it in a washcloth or towel. Maintain the ice for approximately twenty minutes. Remove the icing and then repeat the procedure every couple of hours.
This can help reduce the swelling and inflammation around the muscle and provide you with relief from the discomfort caused by the pulled muscle. Depending on the type of muscle strain, heat and cold are sometimes recommended in alternating fashion.
