6.Plan Your Fasting
A fast should never be initiated with the spontaneous notion, “Perhaps I should fast today.” This is enough to send your body into shock, and jumping into a fast could cause more harm to your body than you realize. Plan your fast in advance and make the necessary preparations beforehand. Determine the length of time you will be fasting and try to prepare a healthy eating plan for subsequently so that you know what to do when your fast is over.
Planning for your fast should also involve general health monitoring before, during, and after the fast – monitor your blood sugar, blood pressure, and weight during the fast, and cease if any of these factors reach dangerous levels.
