- Aching Throat
In its early phases, parvovirus commonly causes a sore throat. The severity depends on the overall health of the individual infected with parvovirus. Sometimes a sore throat is mild, while for others it can be incapacitating, making it difficult to consume or swallow.
A sore throat brought on by parvovirus may develop rapidly or gradually over the course of a few days. The tonsils are typically the first area where throat discomfort is felt. As with any other infection of the pharynx, tonsil inflammation will occur.
Regardless of severity, it is normal for a parvovirus-infected individual’s pharynx to become red and swollen. Parvovirus can cause blisters on the mouth, tongue, and pharynx in severe cases. Parvovirus can infect both adults and children, but children are more likely to develop an irritated throat than adults.
