- Strain Behind the Eyes
The eyes are one of the many body regions that are attacked by parvovirus. When affected by parvovirus, many individuals will experience pressure behind the eyes. This symptom typically manifests during the initial phases of parvovirus-caused fever, and it worsens as the body becomes more inflamed. When parvovirus causes inflammation of the system, it may reach the nervous system.
A portion of this network that connects the thorax, face, and brain stem is susceptible to inflammation. When this condition is caused by parvovirus, intracranial pressure is felt behind the eyes. This ocular pressure can also result in headaches, another symptom of a parvovirus infection. The parvovirus-induced pressure behind the eyes can be treated with analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs. These medications are typically available over-the-counter. Due to pressure behind the eyes, parvovirus does not cause permanent harm, despite being uncomfortable.
