13. Spices or Chili
Most people are quick to avoid spices and chilies when they’re sick. However, moderate amounts of these can be beneficial and one of the most effective ways to repair and boost the immunity system.
Spices include black pepper, turmeric and white pepper (each of which has its own benefits for health) and you should take them whenever you feel that your immune system is compromised.
Why does chili and spice help with a dry cough directly? Many types of chili can help increase phlegm production, which is similar to what milk does without having to drink any.
But, you should always eat chili in moderation. If you suffer from digestive problems, it is best to avoid this method and use another.
