7.Protects Against Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a disease of the bones characterized by a decline in density and quality. In a process known as remodeling, normal aging causes the simultaneous dissolution and formation of bone cells. However, those with osteoporosis lose bone cells quicker than they can regenerate them. This causes the bones to become fragile and brittle, and in the worst-case scenario, they may shatter with a simple bump or sneeze.
It is difficult to detect because it occurs silently and in phases, and only the first fracture is recognized. Osteoporosis can affect anyone; however, postmenopausal women have the highest risk of developing the disease.
The extract of chamomile has been found to stimulate the activity of osteoblasts and have an anti-estrogenic effect, according to research. Osteoblasts are the bone-forming cells. Studies have demonstrated that estrogen may influence bone degeneration. In light of this, chamomile tea can help increase bone density and may mitigate the negative effects of osteoporosis.
