12. Sugar can lead to kidney stones.
If you eat a lot sugar it can increase the calcium oxalates which can lead to kidney stones. It’s better to avoid sugary foods if possible, but if that is not an option, then use sugar in moderation. Some people must have their coffee in the morning. Some people add sugar or sugar substitute to their coffee.
If they do not plan to eat anything else high in sugar, it is fine. People tend to consume sugar all day long, whether it’s in the form of soda or coffee. You can choose what food or beverage you would like to consume with sugar on that particular day.
Do not consume any sugary foods for the remainder of the day. Most foods are high in sugar, so it may be hard to do. Ask your doctor what you can eat to avoid kidney stones if you’re unsure.
