Convulsions are another symptom that a person with pneumonia may experience. This is yet another symptom associated with a fever. Whenever you are ill and have a high fever, you may experience convulsions. This can be quite frightening because you may not know what is happening in your body to cause this reaction.
Again, high or low body temperature, perspiration, and labored breathing, which are all symptoms of pneumonia, can induce convulsions. If left untreated, pneumonia can rapidly develop into a severe condition. This is why it is essential to visit the doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms. The sooner treatment for pneumonia is initiated, the better. Untreated pneumonia can be extremely severe and even fatal.
