14 Common Salmonella Symptoms

  1. Temperature

The preponderance of viral infections result in fever, and salmonella poisoning is no exception. Salmonella poisoning can cause a person’s body temperature to rise to as high as 102 degrees.

Initially, the body will combat viral or bacterial infections by increasing the body’s temperature by several degrees. Most pathogens will have difficulty surviving in such a balmy environment. When a person is afflicted with salmonella poisoning, their fever may be accompanied by chills and a general muscle discomfort.

Even if the epidermis of a person with salmonella fever is hot, they will frequently feel cold and clammy. Urgent medical attention is required if you or someone you know exhibits fever, body aches, shivers, and other symptoms of salmonella infection. Fever can be controlled with over-the-counter medications.
