f you’ve ever viewed a diagram of the nervous system, you’ve probably noticed that all of the nerves are connected via the same network: Like the branches of a tree or the veins on a leaf, one leads directly into the other. (Now might be a good opportunity to look up a picture of the nervous system if you’ve never seen one before!)
This means that pain in one part of the body can directly affect another, apparently unrelated part of the body, as nerves sometimes connect seemingly unrelated parts of the body. Exists a spot on your back or limb that causes you to jump when poked? This is a nervous system-based response.
Due to the increased pressure – and the connected nerves – a toothache is very likely to cause impaired vision simultaneously. Consult your doctor; if this is the cause, your vision may be restored at the same time as the affected tooth.
