- Eye Illnesses

There are numerous non-obvious organ or body-related medical conditions that may cause impaired vision as one of your symptoms: Taking a closer look at some of the symptoms that accompany it can help you determine what condition may be responsible for what you have been experiencing.
Occasionally, impaired vision along with red, irritated eyes (and occasionally additional sinus irritation) can indicate an eye infection: This is likely to have spread through direct contact, typically when the eyes are rubbed or handled after coming into contact with another individual with the same infection.
Eye discharge and red, swollen eyes are common symptoms of eye infections. If left untreated, the infection could extend to other parts of the body, or damage to the eye could result in permanent loss of partial or complete vision.
Consult a physician as soon as possible if you suspect you may have an eye infection.
