Could fasting aid relieve pain? Recent research demonstrates that the answer is almost certainly affirmative. Sometimes pain is caused by the chemicals your body is exposed to; for instance, did you know that acidic foods such as tomatoes are a significant cause of developing conditions such as gout? Fasting provides your body with an opportunity to recuperate, and resuming your diet after a fast should be done with careful consideration.
In addition, make a doctor’s appointment if pain persists: Often, pain is your body’s way of alerting you that something is wrong, and your physician should be able to determine the underlying cause and recommend the most effective treatment.
If you discover that fasting worsens your discomfort in any way, discontinue fasting and consult your doctor for advice on how to approach your fast.
