10.Extraneously Narrow Aorta
The aorta is the primary blood vessel responsible for supplying blood to the entire body.
As thick as a garden hose and connecting the heart to the abdomen and thorax, the aorta is a massive organ. Obviously, if something is wrong with the aorta, the remainder of the body will be affected.
When the aorta is exceedingly narrow (also known as a coarctation of the aorta), it will be unable to supply the body with sufficient blood. With a narrow aorta, the brain’s blood vessels will become more frail, as the brain requires a large quantity of oxygenated blood. As a result, brain aneurysms may become significantly more prevalent. Appropriate and routine screening would ascertain if the aorta is of the appropriate size. If not, we would be required to undertake treatment to correct it.
