10.Be adaptable and receptive to change
You should also be adaptable and open to change. You may develop some methods that are effective today, but you must modify them so that they continue to be effective in the future. Be adaptable. Don’t be too hard on yourself when you veer off course, and be adaptable enough to make adjustments when necessary.
Be receptive to changing your mind or opinions, and particularly be receptive to changing your approach to recovering from bulimia. As you develop into a distinct individual, so will your bulimia management strategies. Even if you have a predetermined plan, the most effective way to achieve this is to recognize when you’re being overly restrictive and reassure yourself that it’s acceptable to approach things differently.
